 Welcome to LGBTQ+ Rights in Mauritania, the first digital platform dedicated to supporting and amplifying the voices of the LGBTQ community in Mauritania one of the most underrepresented and vulnerable communities in the region.

In a context where LGBTQ individuals face severe social stigma, legal risks, and near-total invisibility, this platform serves as a safe digital space for visibility, information, and support.

Our mission goes beyond publishing articles. We work to:

  • Document and shed light on the lived realities and human rights challenges faced by LGBTQ people in Mauritania
  • Provide accessible, reliable information on safety, rights, and survival in a restrictive environment
  • Create a confidential channel through which individuals can reach out for guidance and support
  • Amplify marginalized voices that are otherwise silenced or excluded

Through research-based content, personal narratives, and awareness initiatives, we aim to build a growing knowledge base and a sense of connection for a community that is often isolated and unheard.

This platform is not just a publication space it is a digital lifeline for a community that has long existed without representation, protection, or visibility.

نرحب بكم في منصة LGBTQ+ Rights in Mauritania، وهي أول مساحة رقمية مخصّصة لدعم وإبراز أصوات مجتمع الميم في موريتانيا، أحد أكثر المجتمعات تهميشًا وغيابًا عن التمثيل.

في سياق يواجه فيه أفراد مجتمع الميم وصمًا اجتماعيًا حادًا، ومخاطر قانونية، وغيابًا شبه تام عن الفضاء العام، توفّر هذه المنصة مساحة رقمية آمنة للرؤية، والمعرفة، والدعم.

مهمتنا لا تقتصر على نشر المقالات، بل نسعى إلى:

  • توثيق الواقع اليومي والتحديات الحقوقية التي يواجهها مجتمع الميم في موريتانيا
  • توفير معلومات موثوقة ومبسطة حول السلامة، والحقوق، وسبل الحماية في بيئة مقيدة
  • إتاحة قناة تواصل سرية تمكّن الأفراد من طلب الإرشاد والدعم
  • نقل أصوات وتجارب مهمّشة غالبًا ما يتم إسكاتها أو تجاهلها

من خلال المحتوى التحليلي، والشهادات الإنسانية، ومبادرات التوعية، نعمل على بناء معرفة جماعية وإحساس بالترابط داخل مجتمع يعاني من العزلة والتهميش.

هذه المنصة ليست مجرد مساحة للنشر، بل هي خط حياة رقمي لمجتمع ظل لفترة طويلة بلا تمثيل أو حماية.
